Major events affect local rotas in different ways. Some create direct absence because staff, players, coaches, parents, or volunteers travel to watch. Some create demand spikes because a venue, clubhouse, bar, retail floor, or leisure centre gets busier. Others compete for attention, making training attendance or volunteer turnout less predictable. This hub gives planners one place to scan the events that may change availability before they publish a rota or fixture list.
The event cards are generated into real HTML during deployment, so visitors and crawlers can read them without relying only on client-side JavaScript. JavaScript still refreshes the status labels after load, but the page has visible text content as soon as it is delivered.

Give each major event a simple planning decision.
Ask whether people are likely to attend, watch, travel, volunteer, or request leave around the event. If the answer is yes, confirm availability earlier than usual and assign backup cover before the week is published.
Ask whether the event changes customer demand, facility use, transport, opening hours, or venue pressure. If it does, adjust headcount and handover windows before the normal rota cycle closes.
For clubs, check whether your own fixture or training session competes with a national event. Moving a session early is usually easier than dealing with poor attendance on the day.
Send reminders sooner for high-risk dates. A message sent after travel plans are made, tickets are bought, or volunteers have accepted another commitment is too late to protect the rota.
